The Everblack Angus Program

We calve a few cows starting in late January through to March for the production of some yearling bulls and heifers for our annual bull sale. The remainder of our herd calves from mid April to mid June out in the hills with minimal supervision. Good udders, ease of fleshing, and strong mothering ability are important with this type of program. And our cowherd works hard, grazing corn and licking snow throughout the winter.

We offer a full selection of breeding stock to our customers with choice of calving ease bulls for heifers to performance bulls for cows. Our bulls to use on heifers are the result of mating calving-ease bulls with low birth weight cows. This gives us calving ease consistency on both sides of the pedigree. And our two-year-old bulls are developed slowly on silage and forage ration for the first eighteen months of life, eliminating the potential for burn out.

But enough about our cattle … what we strive to be most proud of is our customer service. A high percentage of our customers, year to year, are repeat buyers – we hope this speaks to the quality of our program and the values we adhere to in managing our business.
